Service Calls and Repairs
The life-expectancy for even the best fireplaces and stoves is about 20 years. After that, it may be more cost-effective to replace the appliance rather than repair it. We service all fireplaces and stoves of the brands we sell. There are many “third-party” appliances we can service.
Appliances we do not service:
-Pellet stoves (other than the Lopi stoves we sell)
-Electric fireplaces and stoves
-Gas log set burners
-“Alpine” brand fireplaces and stoves
To see if your appliance is one we can service or get parts for, please email us pictures of your appliance along with the brand and model number. These can generally be found underneath the fireplace by opening up the bottom panel or on the back of the stove.
Cost
We charge based on how complicated the service call is. Generally, service calls are $125 + parts. This pays for time, travel, fuel, expertise, and the insurance and licenses required to be fireplace technicians.
If the job is less complicated or takes a small amount of time, the technician may charge you less. Even if the visit is really short, we may still need to charge $65-100 for the reasons listed above.
