2. Efficient and capable of heating even in power outages
3. 50x cleaner and 2x more efficient than stoves made 30-50 years ago
4. New technology to help the glass door stay clean and clear
5. Able to cook food or boil water on them
How much does a wood stove cost?
High quality stoves that will last 20-40 years have to be built heavy (350 – 550 lbs depending on size)
If you buy a lightweight stove or the stove you buy does not have a weight listed, it will likely wear out and warp within 2-10 years.
With around 400 lbs of steel or cast iron in most models, the price for each stove is $3,000-5,000
For a high quality pipe system that will withstand 2,000 degrees, protecting your home in the process, the average is $2,000-4,000
With accessories $0-1,000 and labor/sales tax around $1,000, we see jobs total $7,000-11,000

Need a Hearthpad?
Newer wood stoves do not usually need to have a non-combustible surface behind the stove on the wall, but they do underneath the stove, usually a 48×48 area.
Many people have a handyman or brick mason build them a custom pad or hearth.
As an easy, fast solution, we offer these tile/stone hearth pads. They can be set on top of carpet, wood, vinyl, etc. and the wood stove sits on top.
They are available in corner and full styles.
